Clincial Effects and Blood Chemical Study of Cefixime on Patients with Simple and Complicated Urinary Tact Infection

Abstract
|
|
|
We have performed clinical effects and blood chemical study of cefixime on 30 cases of patient with simple and complicated urinary tract infection.
The following results were obtained.
L Patient distributions noted that 21 cases of simple urinary tract infections were acute cystitis (11 cases), acute pyelonephritis (7 cases), urethritis (1 cases), postoperative urinary tract infection (1 case) and acute epidydimitis (1 case) and then 9 case complicated urinary tract infections were acute pyelonephritis with renal stone (4 cases), acute pyelonephritis with ureter stone (4 cases) and acute pyelonephritis with vesicoureteral reflux (1 case)
2. Bacteriologic effects revealed that 23 case E-coli eradicated on 20 cases but 2 cases became change the organsim to staphylococcus and 5 cases proteus were eradicated and then pseudomonas was remained after the administration of cefixime
3. After used the cefixime (200mg/day), we checked blood chemical study for liver function test, renal function test, enzymatic and hematologic evaluation but there were no significant (P>0.05) by statistical figures
4. Untoward reaction after the administration, neither significant nor severe, but one case of mild gastronitestinal trouble and one of mild anorexia in clinical symptom
